Lakrids liquorice E – salmiak is an intriguing sweet-savoury experience. A crisp sugar shell surrounds creamy white chocolate with subtle vanilla notes. In the centre youll find an intense salted liquorice core, the savoury notes both contrasting and complementing the sweet chocolate.

Lakrids liquorice comes all the way from one of the finest liquorice producers in Denmark, the home of liquorice. In 2007, Lakrids started as the dream of Johan Blow, who didnt understand why liquorice was so rarely blended with other flavours. Nor why liquorice had traditionally been made using wheat flour, instead of a gluten free flour. It turns out that both are very difficult!

But with much trial and error, Johan Blow started to produce some of the finest liquorice in the world. Lakrids liquorice is only made with gluten free rice flour, and he treats liquorice as a spice one which enhances and perfectly complements other flavours.

Ingredients: 53% white chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soylecithin, natural vanilla flavour), 18% sugar, rice flour, invert sugar syrup, treacle, 4.8% raw liquorice, 1.3% ammonium chloride, rapeseed oil, salt, glazing agents (gum arabic, carnauba wax, shellac), colour: iron oxide, anise oil. Minimum 27% cocoa solids. Gluten free.
