The separator jug is made from heat resistant glass that can cope with sudden temperature changes up to a difference of 140C so you can pour hot gravy straight into the jug without worrying about breakages. Then wait a few minutes, and watch as the gravy separates with the fat on top. Some fat may appear at the very top of the liquid in the spout gently pour this off first and youre ready to serve!
