Description
Cherry Rocher premium pastis is a quintessential French spirit with an intense aniseed flavour. Produced to an ancient traditional recipe, its made with licorice infusion and distilled star anise extract. In France, its typically served diluted with water as an aperitif or added to a glass of Champagne.
Pastis is often associated with the south of France, particularly Marseille where the drink was first commercially sold by a local named Paul Ricard. It is still one of the most popular drinks in France, sometimes mixed with water and mint syrup to make a vivid green cocktail called Le Perroquet (the parrot). Pastis is also used in seafood dishes, adding an aniseed note to bouillabaisse, mussels and sauted prawns.
