Description
Amazake is made with fermented rice koji and literally means ‘sweet sake’. It is alcohol free. This amazake has a creamy texture, a little like a yoghurt drink. The fermented rice koji gives it a sweet earthy flavour.
Enjoy amazake chilled from the bottle. Or combine it with iced coffee or even hot chocolate. You can also flavour it with a spoon of matcha powder, or grated fresh ginger.
Amazake is lactose and gluten-free, so it is also a good choice for dairy-free desserts. Try it in a custard or mousse.
