Description
Sprinkle yuzu roasted sesame seeds over seaweed or noodle salads to add crunch, nuttiness and the subtly floral citrus notes of yuzu. The sesame seeds are toasted with yuzu juice and sugar for a slightly sweet seasoning. Try using the seeds to coat fish and seafood before frying or grilling. The yellow-hued yuzu roasted sesame seeds are also handy for decorating food in bento boxes.
Yuzu is a native Japanese citrus fruit, and in recent years its popularity has exploded here in the West. Experiment with these slightly sweet & fruity sesame seeds by using to coat the outside of mochi sweets, or even sprinkle over chocolate desserts.
