Description

Sprinkle organic ume and sesame furikake over seared scallops, steamed rice and Asian salads. Furikake is a Japanese condiment, traditionally made with dried fish, sesame seeds and seaweed. In this version, the sweet-sour taste of ume (Japanese plum) adds a bright, fruity note to the rich, nutty flavour of roasted sesame seeds. The result is a complex, umami-rich seasoning thats perfect for sushi and onigiri (rice balls).

This furikake blend has a touch of fruity acidity and the nutty flavour of sesame seeds. Scatter it over ceviche and carpaccio to add complexity and a Japanese twist. Its also delicious on top of tempura squid, stir-fried greens and even popcorn.
