Nuri is one of the oldest and most iconic brands of Portuguese tinned fish. The name Nuri comes from the Arabic word for my light, and this is what a customer exclaimed when they first saw the shiny sardines in the tin. The artisanal production process is steeped in tradition, with 37 steps required to produce a single Nuri tin.
