Frantoio Muraglia extra virgin olive oil in a polka dot tin is a store cupboard essential for Italian food lovers. Produced in sunny Puglia, the oil has an intensely fruity flavour with aromas of artichoke and fennel.

The extra virgin olive oil is made from cold-pressed Coratina olives a variety native to the Apulia region of Italy, where the Frantoio Muraglia olive groves are located.

Coratina olives are unique in that they contain three times more antioxidant polyphenols than any other Italian olive variety. This gives the oil its intense flavour, with spicy notes and hints of astringency.

Drizzle this flavourful Italian oil over grilled seafood, bean soups and spaghetti with spicy arrabiata sauce. Its delicious on crudits and bruschetta and makes a great base for a slow-cooked ragu. Serve the oil with warm bread as a simple starter before your meal – the robust flavour is a great match for focaccia and ciabatta.
