Description
This Asian BBQ sauce from Taiwan has an intense sweet-savoury flavour. It comes with a brush so you can coat ribs and chicken thighs before grilling.
The sauce is made with soy sauce, sugar, garlic, tomato and chilli. Its rich in umami and has a tangy, robust taste. You can use it as a condiment or to marinade your meat.
The bold flavours of this Taiwanese BBQ sauce work well with poultry and red meat. The sauce caramelises in the heat of the grill to create a sweet and sticky glaze. Try brushing it over chicken wings or skewers of steak.
Its also good with sturdy vegetables like aubergine and sweet potato. You can spread it on brioche buns for burgers with a BBQ twist.
