This charming dishwashing brush is a great alternative to plastic versions, and is made from vegetable fibres called tampico, with a beechwood handle. Plus, the head the replaceable simply push out the wooden brush from its wire frame and swap it with a fresh dishwashing brush head.

The brush measures 9cm x 4cm x 4cm.

Andre Jardin brushes are all made with locally sourced beech and heat-treated ash from sustainably managed forests. The bristles are largely made of natural materials mainly white hog bristle, horsehair or plant fibres. Everything is produced in small batches, using artisanal techniques learned from founder Georges-Ren Julio, who started his career in brush-making 100 years ago in Nantes.

Georges-Ren opened his first brush factory in 1947, which he named Brosserie Juilo. He went on to marry Andre Jardin, who is the companys namesake today. Georges-Ren and Andres grandchildren Jean-Baptiste and Franois-Marie run the family business today, producing beautifully crafted brushes and brooms for busy modern life. The two brothers renamed the company Andre Jardin in 2012, to honour their much loved grandmother.
