Alyasamin Patterned Tajine, 30cm

Description

Use the alyasamin patterned tagine to cook the North African classic at home. This striking oven-to-table stew pot is designed for cooking and presenting tagines. Decorated with intricate patterns in deep shades of grey and black, this pot is both beautiful to look at and practical to use.

Using a stoneware tagine is great for:

Tagines were created for cooking on open fire, so you might need to use a heat diffuser when cooking on gas or electric hobs. When layering the ingredients for your tagine, its best to put a bed of onions first. This stops the meat from catching on the base and burning.

This crockery takes its name from the Arabic word for Jasmine, and this is the national flower of Tunisia where these plates are made – and symbolises serenity and happiness.
